VFR Over The Top Rating (VFR OTT)

VFR OTT PREREQUISITES

  • Private Pilot License

VFR OTT PRIVILEGES

  • Fly VFR over the clouds
Flying Over-the-Top means flying above a layer of cloud. This type of VFR flying means not having ground references anymore! It requires training in instrument and radio navigation flying.  It also requires good weather interpretation skills to be able to land at destination in VFR conditions.

Don’t fly below a cloud layer when you can actually enjoy the sun above!
